Here’s how it started…
In 2001, from an academic paper, a pastor and social justice preacher formed UrbanSpirit in Louisville’s West End, a center that would help people of privilege understand poverty in America.
In 2020, seeking accountability for Breonna Taylor’s murder by cops, Louisville justice activists took on the massive role of helping protestors know their rights and understand what was happening around them. From those efforts, Louisville Political Education for Liberation emerged.
